About the role

AWS Infrastructure Services designs, plans, delivers, and operates AWS global infrastructure. The Network Deployment Technician role focuses on supporting next-generation networks in data centers, assisting with automation, capacity management, and onsite network deployment and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Managing work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects
  • Collaborating with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles
  • Troubleshooting networking, routing and interconnectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords
  • Specifying Power and Cooling requirements and ensuring Hardware Racking/Stacking completed for new equipment
  • Participating in the migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware
  • Traveling within and outside of regional work area and internationally is required 60% of the time. This position also is 100% onsite.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Experience in computer networking
  • Experience working with Linux operating systems
  • Can lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds
  • Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair
