About the role

Amazon is seeking exceptional talent to develop the next generation of advanced robotics systems, combining AI, control systems, and mechanical design to create adaptable automation solutions. The role focuses on research and practical implementation in robotics, with emphasis on robotic dexterous manipulation, locomotion, and human-robot interaction, leveraging deep learning and large language models to advance automation at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to research bridging theoretical advancement and practical implementation in robotics
  • Work on next generation intelligent robotics systems for automation and human-robot collaboration
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to push boundaries of robotic dexterous manipulation, locomotion, and interaction

Qualifications

  • Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
  • PhD, or Master’s degree and 2+ relevant robotics experience, in Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering, Machine Learning, Operations Research, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field
  • At least 1 year of relevant academic research or industry experience within Robotics, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Optimization, Manipulation, Perception, Motion Planning and Controls, Movement, Autonomous Navigation, Path Planning, or related
