About the role

Transportation Area Manager(s) required to work throughout the country. Focus on safety, quality, customer experience, and productivity within the department; responsibilities include leading process improvements, Lean tools, and collaboration with site leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with site leadership on quality and Customer Experience metrics, including root cause analysis of problem areas
  • Streamline logistics in the operation through the implementation of standard work and team leadership
  • Support and commit to all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all associates
  • Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives and Lean tools
  • Lead and manage a team of Transportation Associates to ensure trained staff and address their needs so they can focus on their jobs
  • Support, mentor, and motivate hourly workforce; manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises
  • Lead change at internet speed to drive innovation across the organization

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of employee and performance management experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
