About the role

Sr. Software Development Engineer role within Global Tax Data (GTD) focused on operational health of Tax's AI solution portfolio, moving citizen-built AI tools from development to production with robust operational safeguards and ownership.

Responsibilities

  • Review architectures with original builders, address AI-specific security requirements (threat modeling, prompt injection mitigations, data handling controls)
  • Refactor for scalability
  • Create technical documentation
  • Build a reusable pattern library to accelerate future solutions
  • Deploy AI solutions to production infrastructure
  • Configure monitoring and alerting, establish incident response runbooks, manage security patching, serve as the named on-call owner
  • Onboard new consuming teams and provide operational health reporting

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
