About the role

Simulation software engineering role focused on building environments, tools, and systems for robot simulation at scale, including procedural scene generation, automated evaluation, and remote hosting to train and test robot behavior before real-world deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop workflows for generating, configuring, and managing diverse scenes, assets, and scenarios.
  • Extend simulation to support robot capabilities and interactions among robots, people, and dynamic environments.
  • Make simulation experiments reproducible and easy to inspect, with tools for automated evaluation, debugging, and regression testing.
  • Build reliable pipelines for generating, processing, and managing simulation data.
  • Scale simulation through automation, workload orchestration, and remote hosting, supporting both batch workloads and interactive use.
  • Partner with scientists and technical artists to improve simulation performance, usability, and fidelity to real robot behavior (sim2real).

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Experience developing robotics software, simulation systems, real-time applications, or scalable data pipelines.
