About the role

Security Engineer to protect Amazon HealthCare’s services and infrastructure, assess security risks, develop mitigation strategies, and integrate security controls into operational systems within the Healthcare Security team.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct security reviews of network architecture, automation tools, and infrastructure
  • Perform risk assessments and identify security vulnerabilities in workflows
  • Implement security best practices including network security, identity management, and secure system deployment
  • Collaborate with product development teams to integrate security controls
  • Support security incident investigations related to infrastructure
  • Develop and maintain security documentation including threat models, risk assessments, and security guidelines
  • Drive security automation efforts including monitoring and alerting for key security risks

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of web protocols, common security attacks, and remediation (non-internship) experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Knowledge of system security vulnerabilities and remediation techniques, including penetration testing and the development of exploits or equivalent
  • Experience with web protocols, common security attacks, and remediation (non-internship)
  • Experience solving basic problems by writing code or scripts with some assistance
