About the role

Applied Scientist role focused on new features for fine-tuning NLI models, framework decomposition, and evidence auto-linking to produce customer-visible compliance verdicts within AWS Governance and Agentic AI initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Work on new features and services to allow customers to fine-tune Natural Language Inference (NLI) model, framework decomposition, and evidence auto-linking for compliance verdicts.
  • Lead development of AI/ML solutions in security and governance space to provide continuous compliance and risk analysis.
  • Drive executive alignment and technical innovation in AI-assisted development workflows, observability/governance for AI agents, and advanced analytics.

Qualifications

  • PhD, or Master's degree and 6+ years of applied research experience
  • Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
  • 5+ years of building machine learning models for business application experience

Skills

Required:Programming in Java, C++, PythonMachine learning model development
Nice to have:Automation or monitoring frameworks
