About the role
Software Development Engineer II to join the Discovery Insights Foundry (DIF) team within AVMS. Build AI-driven leadership reporting and a full-stack platform for vulnerability management analytics, with data visualization, data pipelines, AI-powered agents, MCP services, and cross-team integration.
Responsibilities
- Architecture Design and Review
- Software Feature development in Java and Python using AWS services (S3, Lambda, SQS, Fargate/ECS, EMR, Spark, etc.)
- Setting and achieving a high bar for Operational Excellence
- Earning trust in all directions; building partnerships with technical internal Amazon stakeholders WW
- System resilience testing and preparation
- Software project planning using Agile Methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
- On a day-to-day basis: build visualizations, develop AI agents for weekly status reports, create data pipelines merging vulnerability metrics, design MCP services, enable cross-team integration, partner with security engineers and data engineers
Qualifications
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
