About the role

Project management role within Amazon's Critical Projects Implementation (CPI) team, focusing on construction and operational improvements across data center facilities including electrical, mechanical, controls, and architectural disciplines to optimize space, power, and cooling.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate multi-disciplinary data center projects from initiation to completion
  • Review and manage electrical, mechanical, controls, and architectural aspects of projects
  • Identify areas for improvement based on data from multiple teams and organizations
  • Design, develop, and deploy innovative solutions to address operational challenges in data centers
  • Ensure projects align with company strategy, commitments, and goals
  • Interact daily with teams responsible for data center capacity, safety, and operations
  • Prioritize activities to maximize data center capacity availability and safety
  • Work on local and global projects within AWS infrastructure services

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of vendor management experience
  • 4+ years of relevant work in a data center or other critical environment
  • 5+ years of data center engineering or operations experience
  • 5+ years of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in vendor management
  • Experience in a data center or other critical environment
