About the role

Engineer role at AWS Seattle focusing on Analytics services and large-scale distributed systems; work with customers to address needs across AWS analytics offerings and contribute to scalable infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Be part of Amazon's world class technical team in Seattle, WA, working with engineers and technical managers to develop and support large-scale analytics services (ElasticSearch, QuickSight, Glue, Athena, LakeFormation, EMR, RedShift).
  • Dive deeply into technical issues and work to improve customer experience across a full suite of services.
  • Collaborate with customers and teams to address specific needs across services; participate in deep-dive troubleshooting and post-mortems to identify root causes.
  • Contribute to building and deploying solutions across thousands of devices; strive to improve and streamline processes for massive scale.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional)
  • Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure
  • Experience with Linux/Unix
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development, or 3+ years of software development experience
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
  • Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)
  • 2+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above
