About the role

Support engineer role within AWS Managed Operations for the European Sovereign Cloud (ESC), delivering high-availability AWS services (EC2, S3, Dynamo, Lambda, Bedrock) to EU customers and improving ESC service levels through collaboration with global AWS teams.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve the service level of the European Sovereign Cloud (ESC).
  • Collaborate with engineers in different technical roles to enhance day-to-day operations.
  • Improve availability, reliability, latency, performance, and efficiency of the ESC.
  • Be the go-to person for keeping team systems running efficiently.
  • Occasionally participate in on-call rotations to resolve incidents outside regular hours.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Linux OS and network troubleshooting or networking administration and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on systems engineering and administrative work in networking, storage systems, and operating systems.
