About the role

The successful candidate will oversee the operation and maintenance of the electrical and mechanical infrastructure for Data Centers in AWS Cloud regions, including safety oversight, facility operations, and coordinating Engineering Operations Technicians.

Responsibilities

  • SAFETY: Follow and maintain the highest safety standards and diligently encourage a world-class safety culture. Own safety initiatives and projects to foster strong safety culture.
  • ENGINEERING & FACILITY OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE: Operational experience with electrical and mechanical equipment (UPS, Switchgear, Circuit Breakers, ATS, Diesel Generators, Chillers, HVAC, Exhaust Fans, VFDs, Transformers). Troubleshoot events within SLAs. Take daily operational readings of mechanical and electrical equipment. Supervise contractor or Engineering Operations Technicians. Drive continuous improvement through standardization of procedures and policies. Provide training and guidance to Engineering Operations Technicians and assist in recruiting. Lead root cause analysis with SMEs to finalize mitigation strategies.
  • Manual handling and lifting of equipment may be required (weight limits per regulations).
  • Ability to work shifts (morning, late, and night).
  • On-call rotation in response to off-duty emergency calls
