About the role

Area Manager II in Rochester, NY leading a team of hourly workers to maintain safety, quality, attendance, and performance while meeting customer delivery promises within Amazon's WW Operations network.

Responsibilities

  • Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce
  • Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises
  • Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, Human Resources to develop plans to meet business objectives
  • Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
  • Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts
  • Work in variable noise and temperature environments with outside loading departments
  • Continuously climb and descend stairs (sites with stairs)

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of employee and performance management experience
  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
  • A Bachelor's degree or International Equivalent, OR 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience, OR 6+ years of Military Experience
