About the role

AWS Professional Services is seeking a ProServe Cloud Architect specializing in the Strategic Accounts - Software and High Technology vertical to design and deliver cloud solutions, mentor teams, and act as a trusted advisor on industry trends, regulatory landscapes, and AI-enabled cloud architectures.

Responsibilities

  • Designing scalable, secure AWS solutions for Strategic Accounts - Software and High Technology Customers, including agentic solutions, data context, migrations, and modernization
  • Providing technical guidance during pre-sales and implementation, translating hi-tech business structures into solution architectures
  • Leading modernization-at-scale of workloads to AWS and Cloud Ops/FinOps best practices for moving customers from POC to production
  • Collaborating with Account Managers and SDTs to address IP protection and data privacy obligations unique to hi-tech design and manufacturing customers
  • Advising customers on emerging technologies: agentic use cases, high performance compute and resilient architectures
  • Sharing knowledge through mentoring, training, and reusable artifacts that capture regulatory and business patterns unique to this vertical
  • Engaging directly with customers to understand their business/technical roadmap and identify measurable value
  • Partnering with ProServe Account Executives to align on opportunity strategy, develop statements of work, and drive deals through the pipeline
  • Deep diving into customer environments to assess workload migration or modernization effort, define architectures, and build business cases
  • Delivering opportunity scoping and solution design focused on customer problems rather than generic services
  • Working across organizational boundaries with Solution Architects, WWSO, Account Executives, and delivery teams
  • Engaging with C-suite executives, CTOs, engineering leads, and manufacturing operations executives to build trust and drive outcomes

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of cloud architecture and solution implementation experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, or related field
  • Experience managing and delivering large-scale enterprise IT projects
  • Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (security, privacy, SOX, HIPAA, etc.)
  • Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile/iterative methodologies
