About the role

NOC (Network Operations Center) is the central command and control center for Transportation Execution across the Amazon Supply Chain, coordinating freight pickup/delivery, monitoring network performance, and driving process improvements. The role facilitates information flow among carriers, hubs, and warehouses, supports 24/7 operations including night shifts, and requires Japanese language proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Communication with external customers (Carriers, Vendors/Suppliers) and internal customers (Retail, Finance, Software Support, Fulfillment Centers)
  • Pulling data from databases (Excel, Access, SQL) and performing ad hoc reporting and analysis
  • Developing and understanding performance metrics to drive business results
  • Scoping business and functional requirements for Amazon technology teams
  • Understanding business impact of trends and making data-driven decisions
  • Escalating problems or variances to relevant owners and following through on resolutions
  • Managing activities within time constraints and measuring outcomes
  • Creating narratives of weekly findings and variances for review forums
  • Providing real-time customer experience in a 24x7 operating environment (including night shifts)
  • Languages proficiency (mandatory) – Japanese
