About the role

NOC (Network Operations Center) is the central command and control center for Transportation Execution across the Amazon Supply Chain, coordinating freight pickup and delivery, resolving exceptions, and analyzing network data. The role facilitates information flow among carriers, hubs, and warehouses, works in a 24x7 environment, and supports Amazon Japan from Dalian, China.

Responsibilities

  • Communication with external customers (Carriers, Vendors/Suppliers) and internal customers (Retail, Finance, Software Support, Fulfillment Centers)
  • Pull data from multiple databases (Excel, Access, SQL or other data management systems) and perform ad hoc reporting and analysis
  • Develop and understand performance metrics to drive business results
  • Scope out business and functional requirements for Amazon technology teams who create/enhance software used by NOC
  • Assess business impact of trends and make data-driven decisions
  • Escalate problems or data variances to relevant owners and ensure resolutions are delivered
  • Work within various time constraints to meet critical business needs, while measuring activities
  • Create narratives of weekly findings and variances to goals and present in review forums
  • Provide real-time customer experience in a 24x7 operating environment (including night shifts)
  • Languages proficiency – Japanese (mandatory)
