About the role

Design, build and operate a self-service telemetry platform for Amazon Elastic Block Store (EBS) that processes petabytes of telemetry data daily, enabling operational insight, real-time monitoring, and AI-powered data access across AWS regions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build and operate distributed systems that transform, store, query and export petabyte-scale telemetry data
  • Improve cost efficiency by evolving platform architecture and adopting new languages/technologies while controlling costs as usage grows
  • Build programmatic and AI-ready interfaces that provide secure, access-controlled data access for engineers and automated tools
  • Raise operational quality through monitoring, alarming, data-quality validation and automated recovery
  • Partner with software engineers, data engineers and product managers across EBS to turn use cases into reusable platform features

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
