About the role

Transportation Operations Management (TOM) oversees trailer yard operations across multiple Amazon facilities in Mexico, serving as the main liaison between Site Operations and Transportation Network. TOM focuses on yard safety, efficient trailer movement, and guard shack operations, driving mid-mile transportation execution and customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team focused on yard operations, aligning Fulfillment Center operation with transportation execution.
  • Plan and manage yard capacity and trailer pool for designated site.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures.
  • Drive high safety standards for all yard operations, ensuring safe work environment for Amazon and non-Amazon workers.
  • Audit and ensure compliance to all standard work, Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) and environmental regulations
  • Meet and exceed operational goals.
  • Own area performance metrics and communicate them to TOM and site leadership

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
  • 1+ years of employee and performance management experience
  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
  • Speak, write, and read fluently in English
  • 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience
