Join Amazon’s mission to become Earth’s safest place to work. As a Workplace Health & Safety Specialist (WHSS), you will lead safety programs, investigations, training, and associate advocacy to transform workplace safety culture across operations.

Responsibilities

  • Drives comprehensive safety programs through data-driven strategies; leads daily safety audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments; implements innovative solutions to prevent injuries.
  • Delivers engaging safety training to associates and promotes proactive safety culture.
  • Champions continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workplace safety while maintaining operational efficiency.
  • Serves as a trusted safety advisor and advocate for associate wellbeing; builds partnerships across all levels; drives behavioral changes to embed safety best practices.
  • Transforms safety data into compelling narratives to influence positive change and safety engagement.

Qualifications

  • High school or equivalent
  • A minimum of 1 year in an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) related field OR a Bachelor’s degree in an EHS-related field OR 6 months experience in a safety-related role within Amazon
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations specifically 29 CFR 1910
  • Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional capacity
  • Experience maintaining confidentiality in matters involving security and/or personnel issues in the workplace
