About the role

Delivery Trainers recruit, mentor, and train Delivery Associates, delivering hands-on instruction, on-road coaching, and safety/compliance training to support Amazon’s delivery network.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate daily training classes for up to 30 people, including in-station classes and drive-alongs
  • Partner with DSPs, Operations Managers, Area Managers, and Learning Teams to coordinate, facilitate, and measure training activities
  • Understand processes, expectations, and training requirements for all drivers across driver programs
  • Track performance and provide retraining and process improvement opportunities for DOT-regulated training
  • Provide timely reporting on training completion, compliance, safety, and maintenance duties
  • Ensure training content aligns with safety, quality, and legal procedures
  • Educate and audit driver safety and compliance standards (vehicle inspection reports, hours of service, trip planning, safe driving)
  • Monitor on-road performance and identify retraining opportunities
  • Drive, maneuver, and load/unload a truck using approved equipment
  • Lift up to 49 pounds and work shifts up to 12 hours with physical activity
  • Travel to multiple sites within 50 miles; support other sites up to 50% travel
  • Work as a peer trainer as needed; motivate and coach Delivery Associates during training
  • Operate and navigate a 26,000 pounds or less vehicle; use GPS effectively
  • Possibly gain DOT Regulation Qualification as a condition of the role
  • Work 40 hours per week with overtime as required

Qualifications

  • - 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
  • - High school or equivalent
  • - Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, holidays
  • - Ability to lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk up to 12 hours, frequent push/pull/squat/bend/reach
  • - 40 hours per week with overtime as required
  • - 21 years of age or older
