About the role

Internship focused on advancing AI and robotics research at the intersection of large language models, generative AI, and robotics, with mentorship from leading researchers and hands-on work on production-scale data and cutting-edge robotics technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop novel, scalable algorithms and modeling techniques that advance the state-of-the-art in areas at the intersection of LLMs and generative AI for robotics
  • Tackle challenging, groundbreaking research problems on production-scale data, with a focus on robotic perception, manipulation, and control
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems, and to communicate research findings clearly, leveraging expertise in deep learning, reinforcement learning, computer vision, and motion planning
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently, thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Leverage AI-powered tools where applicable to accelerate research, experimentation, and prototyping; critically review and validate outputs from AI tools and automated systems

Qualifications

  • Are enrolled in a Bachelor's degree or above
  • Can relocate to where the internship is based
  • Experience programming in Python, and where applicable, C++ or JAX
  • Demonstrated science depth in a specific research area, evidenced through publications, thesis work, or equivalent contributions
  • Must be eligible for and available for full-time (40 hours per week) internship for the whole duration of the internship/co-op
