About the role

Principal Product Manager - Technical to own answer quality for Alexa for Shopping, defining quality metrics, shaping evaluation systems, and driving cross-team work to improve a conversational shopping AI used by hundreds of millions of customers each month.

Responsibilities

  • Own answer quality strategy and roadmap, driving clarity where the problem and opportunity are not yet defined.
  • Own the quality metric itself and the evaluation system behind it, including agentic judges, benchmark missions, and competitive comparisons.
  • Invent successor metrics when current distinctions no longer differentiate performance.
  • Move the quality metric through prioritization and drive work across teams to deliver improvements.
  • Partner closely with multiple engineering and science teams and influence cross-organizational decisions shaping the future of shopping AI.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Experience technical product management
