About the role

Network Development Engineer responsible for designing, building, and operating network infrastructure across data center and engineering environments for Amazon Leo (Project LEO) initiatives. Focus on scalable switching fabrics, routing, segmentation, automation, and multi-tenant network operations with production-grade reliability and rapid reconfiguration capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Design & deploy network architectures — switching fabrics, routing, segmentation, and connectivity across data center and infrastructure environments
  • Automate network provisioning, configuration management, and operational workflows; build tooling that enables infrastructure to scale at higher volume
  • Operate & sustain multi-tenant network environments including technology refresh, scaling, and optimization — delivering simple, sustainable, and repeatable solutions
  • Troubleshoot & resolve complex cross-domain network events spanning physical layer through application connectivity; diagnose root cause and mitigate impact
  • Collaborate with hardware, systems, and software engineering teams to define requirements and ensure smooth rollout of new designs and products
  • Lead projects in network deployment, sustaining engineering, and infrastructure scaling
  • Maintain standards for change management, documentation (SOPs, implementation guides, knowledge transfer), and configuration control; ensure compliance across the networking toolset

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of major internet routing protocols experience
  • 4+ years of working in a Linux/Unix environment experience

  • Base salary: USA, CA, Northridge $136,000.00 - $184,000.00 USD annually
