About the role

Customer Experience and Business Trends (CXBT) Capability Team seeks an experienced data-focused BIE to turn large-scale data into clear, actionable insights to improve customer experience across Amazon businesses. Based in Bangalore, the role involves building data pipelines, writing SQL/PySPARK queries, collaborating with product/program managers, investigating data quality issues, and documenting analytics methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain data pipelines, ETL jobs, and data models that result in improved Customer experience.
  • Write and optimize SQL/PySPARK queries to produce weekly and monthly reports, translating raw data into actionable insights for regional leads and senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Program Managers, and peer Business Intelligence Engineers to align data definitions, standardize metrics.
  • Investigate data anomalies, root-cause quality issues, and implement validation checks so that discrepancies are caught before they reach stakeholders.
  • Maintain clear documentation of your data artifacts and analytical methodology, and identify opportunities to automate manual processes for improved pipeline reliability and reporting efficiency.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Experience with one or more industry analytics visualization tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI) and statistical methods (e.g. t-test, Chi-squared)
  • Experience with scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, or R)
