About the role

Security Engineer to design, develop, and implement security solutions that strengthen AWS Global ProServe's security posture, automate security mechanisms, and mentor junior engineers across Professional Services Security.

Responsibilities

  • Automate security tools and develop security solutions
  • Conduct application security reviews and threat modeling
  • Design secure architectures and provide security guidance
  • Deliver security metrics and drive continuous improvements
  • Mentor teams through security training and documentation

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of non-internship background in troubleshooting systems issues, analyzing logs, or automating complex tasks using command line tools
  • 5+ years of work in identifying security issues and risks, and developing mitigation plans
  • 4+ years of (non-internship) scripting, programming, and security code review in common programming languages
  • Knowledge of at least two of the following programming languages: Scala, Java, Python, C/C++, or Go
  • 5+ years of cloud architecture and solution implementation experience
