About the role

Pivotal accounting role focused on statutory reporting and compliance for Amazon Web Services and its satellite connectivity initiative (LEO). Responsible for statutory close, financial statements, regulatory filings, and coordinating external audits across multiple regions in the EMEA scope.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare month-end statutory close journal entries and supporting documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards
  • Develop interim and year-end statutory financial statements for legal entities, applying appropriate accounting frameworks and principles
  • Coordinate the statutory filing process for legal entities across multiple regions, managing timelines and regulatory requirements
  • Support external audit activities by responding to audit requests, providing documentation, and facilitating communication between internal teams and external auditors
  • Analyze complex business transactions and develop technical accounting position papers to determine appropriate accounting treatment

Qualifications

  • CPA
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, information systems, finance, or equivalent
  • Experience working with stakeholders
  • Strong audit and technical accounting experience with accounting and financial reporting, preferably gained within a Big Four firm and / or a multinational organization
  • Certified accountant qualification (ACA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent)
