About the role

Join the AWS Solutions Architecture team as a Sr Solutions Architect for Software and Technology customers. Define and prove technical direction with architectural reasoning, advisory work, and hands-on validation in customer environments. Build prototypes, PoCs, and AI-driven solutions to accelerate customer decisions and align architectural recommendations with validated proof.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Proof & Validation: Build working prototypes in customer non-production sandbox environments using AI-augmented development tools to validate architectural recommendations and accelerate customer adoption; Implement directly to unblock customer decisions: build PoCs for agentic AI and other use cases proving architectural approaches; Deploy infrastructure using IaC (CDK, Terraform) in customer sandboxes, demonstrating scalability and security patterns; Apply GenAI and agentic systems (multi-agent orchestration, RAG pipelines, foundation model integration) where they solve customer problems.
  • Architectural Reasoning & Decision Ownership: Frame and resolve technical trade-offs involving security, cost, operational burden, time-to-market, and compliance; Make cross-cutting architectural decisions ensuring coherence across systems; Diagnose resilience, failover, scaling, and security issues; Own architectural decisions and consequences with the customer; Stay engaged through implementation to validate against customer environment.
  • Strategic Advisory & Customer Influence: Own end-to-end technical strategy for customers; Partner with sales to drive adoption of AWS; Influence senior leaders’ technology direction with business outcomes; Challenge customer direction when evidence suggests better paths; Translate complex capabilities into business-outcome narratives.
  • Revenue & Opportunity Acceleration: Accelerate adoption through validated proof points; Identify new opportunities during engagements; Increase service adoption via multi-service integration demos; Conduct training sessions; Identify implementation pathways leveraging ProServe expertise.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
  • 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent
  • Demonstrated ability to build and validate solutions hands-on (code, infrastructure as code, tested deployments)
  • Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients including building deep relationships with senior technical leaders.
