About the role

Seeking a motivated System Development Engineer to build and operate high-performance, globally scalable financial systems and automation to support Amazon's growth. Focus on system design, networking, coding/scripting, and project organization to improve business processes, contribute to critical initiatives, and mentor others.

Responsibilities

  • Build and operate business-critical financial systems at scale.
  • Design, implement, and deploy large-scale software systems.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve alarms; lead engineers in problem resolution.
  • Develop tools and end-to-end automation for human-free operations.
  • Participate in architecture, design, implementation, and deployment of complex software systems.
  • Mentor other engineers and influence technical decisions across the organization.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of systems development experience
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
  • Experience with Linux/Unix
  • Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting infrastructure
