About the role

Lead a cross-functional team to build a governed safety intelligence platform for Amazon's Delivery Service Partners (DSPs) across 21 countries, focusing on Safety Data as a Service, a unified configuration layer, and AI-powered safety insights.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow a cross functional team of software engineers and data engineers to deliver across multiple strategic themes
  • Articulate technical challenges and solutions to tech and non tech audiences
  • Architect systems involving data processing components, workflow orchestration and dependency management
  • Architect and deliver a governed data serving platform consolidating telematics, incidents, video evidence, and contextual enrichment
  • Own design and delivery of a unified configuration layer for safety business rules
  • Drive development of compound safety signals combining data sources into actionable indicators
  • Lead frontend and backend development of a consolidated safety dashboard
  • Partner with upstream platform teams to integrate sensing and signal fusion capabilities
  • Drive development of AI powered agents that provide safety insights in plain language
  • Define and track success metrics (signal-to-surface latency, deployment time, context assembly time, signal launch velocity)
  • Operate with principles: Zero Gravity and Zero Friction

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of engineering experience
  • 3+ years of engineering team management experience
  • 3+ years of developing large-scale, multi-tiered distributed software systems using Java, C#, or C++
  • 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services
  • Knowledge of end-to-end software/hardware/networks development lifecycle
  • Experience partnering with product or program management teams
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
