About the role

AWS Infrastructure Services manages design, planning, delivery, and operation of AWS global infrastructure, including data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling. The role supports inventory, inbound shipments, and demand planning to maintain stock levels for build and repair activities across locations, collaborating with procurement, vendors, and Data Center Operations teams.

Responsibilities

  • Understand all aspects of operations while adhering to strict safety standards and maintaining very high quality. This is a hands-on role that requires the willingness and ability to operate powered equipment (e.g., forklift or cherry picker).
  • Partner with the Logistics Manager to create plans that optimize the flow of parts through their lifecycle — tracking inventory location, movement, age, and turns.
  • Work closely with Data Center Operations Technicians and Data Center Engineers to fulfill parts requests quickly and accurately.
  • Collaborate with Procurement and Hardware Engineering to purchase new parts, and interface directly with vendors to process RMAs and receive replacements.
  • Maintain regular, ongoing communication with vendors to resolve issues and align them on our business requirements — this requires a strong, high-level communicator.
  • Support an environment that operates 24/7.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a logistics professional supporting inventory cycle counts, shipments, maintenance, stock control functions and reverse logistics
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field
