About the role

The Alexa Smart Home team is looking for a passionate, results-oriented Technical Program Manager to deliver engaging and innovative smart home features for customers, driving cross-functional programs from design to release and production launches.

Responsibilities

  • Work with engineers and technical leaders to identify best practices for building resilient systems
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with technical and non-technical teams and stakeholders
  • Drive effective cross-functional teamwork, communication, collaboration, and commitments across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities
  • Participate in and support system design
  • Own successful delivery of large, impactful, highly cross-functional program initiatives while managing smaller projects
  • Lead and contribute to weekly, monthly and quarterly business reviews, delivering clear program updates to stakeholders across organizations
  • Anticipate bottlenecks, manage escalations, balance business needs with technical constraints
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to develop program and product requirements
  • A day in the life: define customer facing features with product and partner stakeholders; manage end-to-end feature delivery; explore customer experience, requirements, and engineering plans; guide teams to develop experiences at the edge, in the cloud, and through consumer services.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 3+ years of software development experience
  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
