About the role

Software Development Engineer on the Sponsored Products Marketplace AdClicks team, building large-scale, highly available services that process advertising signals across Amazon’s performance advertising products, with millisecond-level latencies and strict SLAs.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and own Tier-1 services that determine ad-serving eligibility across Performance Advertising Core Engine
  • Set the technical vision for services spanning multiple Sponsored Ad programs (Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display)
  • Build global, auto-scalable, high-throughput services that work across all ad programs — from campaign management through event logging
  • Collaborate with software engineers, Product Managers, and Program Managers to deliver advertiser and customer experiences
  • Advise senior leadership on technical opportunities and risks to ensure sustained, rapid feature delivery
  • Lead and inspire teammates to raise the bar on software quality, reliability, and operational excellence
  • Measure success through quality of execution, pace of innovation, and increased customer and advertiser satisfaction

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
