About the role

Data Center Engineering Technician role focused on maintaining and troubleshooting mission-critical facilities and electrical/mechanical equipment to support AWS data centers and achieve high uptime.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise contractors who perform servicing or preventive maintenance
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks to include: filter changes, battery system PMs, and Rack, Diesel Generator PM's, and other preventative maintenance tasks
  • Perform root cause analysis for operational issues
  • Troubleshoot facility and rack level events
  • Ensure all personnel on-site follow safety protocols
  • Work on-call and a rotating schedule as needed
  • Take daily operational readings and provide metrics reporting to senior engineers
  • Perform basic support concepts such as ticketing systems, root cause analysis, and task prioritization

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of electrical or mechanical, or 1+ years of data center or mission critical facilities experience
  • High school or equivalent diploma
  • 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
  • Work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays
