About the role

Finance role focused on controlled accounting processes, month-end close, reporting, and financial controls for a global accounting team based in Bangalore. Partnership with Central Accounting, Finance Operations, and Global Finance to drive KPI reporting, process improvements, and SOX/compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Own financial reporting and support month end close for Accounts Payable functions, reporting decks, reconciliations, etc.
  • Provide support/direction for process or problem resolution.
  • Ensure processes are operating efficiently and effectively.
  • Identify and implement process improvements where required.
  • Understand industry best practices and set benchmarks for quality.
  • Participate in strategic initiatives and special projects as assigned.
  • Ensure financial policies, procedures, and internal controls are in place and functioning.
  • Manage response to internal and external audits and ensure SOX compliance across geographies/activities.
  • Manage complex accounting issues and implement process controls.
  • Ability to analyze complex datasets and provide business judgments.
  • Stakeholder management and relationship building with customers; collaborate with remote teams; drive cross-functional process improvements.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of tax, finance or related analytical field experience
  • 3+ years of advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookup, etc.)
  • 6+ years of Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable experience
  • 6+ years of applying KPIs to analyses
  • 7+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets for decision-making
  • 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant
