About the role

SysDE II role designing, building, and operating AI-powered deployment safety and orchestration tools to automate network infrastructure management across Amazon fulfillment centers worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate tools and AI-powered deployment safety services used by network engineers across thousands of Amazon fulfillment centers globally.
  • Partner with Network Engineers, Systems Engineers, and Product Managers to translate real operational pain points into intuitive, scalable self-service solutions.
  • Contribute to a diverse product portfolio and own features end-to-end from design through production.
  • Mentor peers, participate in design reviews, and drive operational excellence through monitoring, runbooks, and continuous improvement of on-call practices.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
  • Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure
  • Experience with Linux/Unix
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
