About the role

Prime Air is seeking an experienced Sr. Repair Technician to lead drone maintenance and routine service at a commercial operation site, work with engineering and flight operations, and train/mentor the Repair Technician team. The role requires strong analytical skills, independence, and a focus on safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Drive time-based and condition-based maintenance activities
  • Own fleet performance metrics
  • Verify adherence to FAA regulations and Prime Air directives and processes
  • Manage fleet spare parts and inventory
  • Train and and mentor other Repair Technicians
  • Assign shift roster and oversee Repair Technicians
  • Demonstrate proactive safety mindset in ambiguous situations
  • Follow detailed instructions outlined in technical manuals

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of mechanical and electrical integration or assembly experience
  • Experience guiding, training and mentoring others
  • Experience with common business applications and tools (i.e. Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Can carry/lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach
  • Travel up to 25% of the time
