About the role

Senior Strategic Supply Chain Manager at Amazon Vendor Services (AVS) focusing on strategic planning, execution, and optimization of Amazon's supply chain for consumables. Leads cross-functional collaboration with Retail, Supply Chain, and Vendors to improve operational metrics, cost structure, and customer experience. Requires strong analytical capabilities, experience in operations or inventory management, and ability to drive initiatives across a large catalog in a high-energy environment.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying and delivering improvement opportunities around demand and production planning
  • Monitoring, analyzing and owning Vendor Key Performance Indicators such as: Out of Stock rate, Total Inbound lead time, confirmation rates, including presenting insights, themes and trends to Senior Leadership team.
  • Strategically analyzing production and delivery lead-times, while optimizing operational excellence inputs such as EDI adoption, PO confirmations, efficient receive processes, and inventory placement.
  • Spearheading initiatives to enhance cost structure and profitability, collaborating closely with partner teams to ensure successful execution.
  • Quarterly travel to vendor sites to support ongoing partnership

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of statistics or other analytical techniques
  • 6+ years of supply chain, forecasting, manufacturing, sourcing/procurement, or vendor management experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in supply chain management, engineering, business management or other relevant field
  • Experience managing multiple projects in parallel through prioritization, planning, and task delegation
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships with business partners
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data insights into actionable supply chain strategies
