About the role

Senior AVS role focusing on strategic planning, execution, and optimization of Amazon's supply chain with cross-functional collaboration to drive growth and customer experience. Responsible for vendor-level strategy, negotiations, cost/waste reduction, and optimization of operational metrics with frequent interactions with Retail, Supply Chain, and Vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying and delivering improvement opportunities around demand and production planning
  • Monitoring, analyzing and owning Vendor Key Performance Indicators such as: Out of Stock rate, Total Inbound lead time, confirmation rates, including presenting insights, themes and trends to Senior Leadership team.
  • Strategically analyzing production and delivery lead-times, while optimizing operational excellence inputs such as EDI adoption, PO confirmations, efficient receive processes, and inventory placement.
  • Spearheading initiatives to enhance cost structure and profitability, collaborating closely with partner teams to ensure successful execution.
  • Quarterly travel to vendor sites to support ongoing partnership

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of statistics or other analytical techniques
  • 6+ years of supply chain, forecasting, manufacturing, sourcing/procurement, or vendor management experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in supply chain management, engineering, business management or other relevant field
  • Experience managing multiple projects in parallel through prioritization, planning, and task delegation
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships with business partners
