About the role
AWS-based security assurance role focused on coordinating and improving security programmes and processes for UK customers, with emphasis on compliance, audit, and regional expansion assurance activities.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate routine and region-expansion assurance activities across multiple stakeholders to support customer adoption and business demands
- Ensure control frameworks and compliance risks are recorded and managed
- Coordinate audits; guide control owners in documenting control activities and prepare controls for audit/certification
- Coordinate process improvements and control implementation in projects; liaise with service teams and stakeholders
- Track resolution of audit findings and execution of improvement projects from internal/external assessments
- Assist with coordinating external auditors, improving documentation, and tracking progress/platform performance
- Design, build, and assure each stage of AWS Region Expansion activities
- Review and coordinate proposed changes to the Physical Environment within assured spaces
- Monitor and report on process improvement effectiveness and progress
- Produce reports on key program assurance performance metrics
- Drive continuous improvements in security programmes' efficiency and quality
- Coordinate periodic programme reviews to ensure compliance with accreditation/certification requirements
- On-site visits to coordinate security assessment activities and remediation with SMEs
Qualifications
- Experience in compliance, audit or risk management
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the security field
- Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Cyber Security, IT Security Management, Security Risk Management, or related security field
