About the role

Internal Auditor position within the Worldwide Amazon Stores Internal Audit team. Opportunity to work on a broad range of operational and technical audits across fulfillment centers, supply chain, logistics, transportation, and physical stores, with emphasis on identifying control gaps and process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Executes assigned audit tasks and test steps on defined components of audits within agreed timelines, under guidance from senior auditors.
  • Diversifies collaboration within the audit team, supporting Audit Managers and senior auditors.
  • Applies analytical thinking, including data analytics and audit tools, to identify control gaps, process inefficiencies, and exceptions.
  • Executes defined data analysis procedures to support testing, validate populations, and identify anomalies.
  • Dives deep into assigned processes and controls to ensure testing is complete, accurate, and well documented.
  • Delivers high quality work by validating test results, reconciling data, and maintaining attention to detail.
  • Supports the development of clear workpapers and draft findings that explain issue and business impact.
  • Escalates issues and priority conflicts appropriately and seeks direction when needed.
  • Communicates clearly with audit team members and stakeholders, verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrates curiosity and willingness to learn by building knowledge of audit practices, controls, data analytics, and assigned business domains.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or experience in an industry role
  • 2+ years of experience working in risk/fraud analysis or in compliance organizations
  • Experience working across cross-functional teams and partnering with people at all levels within an organization
