About the role

Experienced engineer to work on distributed AI/ML systems, focusing on collective operations that enable AI to scale across multiple accelerators and servers. Primarily C/C++ with emphasis on Linux kernels, performance, and low-level systems. Opportunity to mentor and grow in a fast-paced, globally distributed team within AWS.

Responsibilities

  • Work on distributed AI/ML systems and collective operations that enable AI to scale across multiple accelerators and servers.
  • Develop in a low-level stack (primarily C/C++, Linux, kernels) with a focus on performance.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure experts, hardware engineers, RTL engineers, scientists, and architects.
  • Mentor junior engineers and participate in thorough code reviews.
  • Contribute to features for large-scale AI models and clusters within EC2 infrastructure.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
