About the role

AWS seeks a Data Center Structural Engineer to join the design team in Seattle, WA. The role focuses on designing resilient, cost-effective data center facilities, providing technical guidance, reviewing drawings, solving large-scale issues, and ensuring structural design requirements across prototypes and global projects.

Responsibilities

  • Be part of the design team for Amazon DCs in the Americas Region and impact other projects worldwide.
  • Provide technical guidance to team members and review milestone drawings by consultants.
  • Solve large scale implementation issues and be responsible for structural design requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Structural Engineering
  • Professional Engineer License
  • 7+ years experience in structural design for industrial or commercial projects
  • 5+ years experience with design of Data Center, Mission Critical, Hospital, Schools, Commercial or Residential Tower facilities
  • Proficiency in building codes, regulations, and standard including IBC and ASCE

Nice to have:Reading/creating construction drawings and specsProject coordination
