Responsibilities

  • Drive comprehensive safety programs through data-driven strategies
  • Lead daily safety audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments
  • Implement innovative safety solutions to prevent injuries
  • Deliver engaging safety training to associates
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives for safety and efficiency
  • Serve as a trusted safety advisor and advocate for associate wellbeing
  • Foster a culture where safety is a shared priority through communication, coaching, and reinforcement
  • Transform safety data into narratives to influence safety initiatives
  • Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
  • Stand/walk for up to 12 hours
  • Work in environments with variable noise and temperatures (delivery stations may be outside)
  • Climb and descend stairs as applicable
  • Maintain effective care during emergencies and assist emergency response
  • Available to work flexible shifts including days, nights, and weekends
  • Obtain First Aid/CPR/AED certification within 3 weeks if not already held

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year in an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) related field OR Bachelor’s degree in an EHS-related background OR 6 months in a safety-related role at Amazon
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations specifically 29 CFR 1910
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience maintaining confidentiality in workplace security/personnel matters
