Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and delivery of multi-engineer software projects, owning your team's architectural direction and ensuring solutions are scalable, performant, and secure.
  • Define and drive engineering best practices across your team, including code quality standards, operational readiness, and development processes that improve productivity and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners — including product managers, technical program managers, and engineers on related teams — to align on requirements, resolve technical trade-offs, and deliver integrated solutions.
  • Mentor and coach engineers on your team and beyond, providing technical guidance on system design, coding practices, and career development to strengthen overall team capability.
  • Evaluate and integrate new technologies, design patterns, and generative AI tools where appropriate to simplify systems, reduce complexity, and accelerate delivery.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
