About the role
Researchers in Audible’s Cambridge, UK team seek to advance state-of-the-art spoken language generation for Alexa, focusing on computer-generated speech that is human-like and expressive. The role involves developing novel deep learning approaches, mentoring teammates, and deploying data-driven models for spoken language applications.
Responsibilities
- Research and implement novel Machine/Deep Learning approaches which add value to Amazon
- Lead and Mentor junior engineers and scientists
- Participate in the design, development, evaluation, deployment and updating of data-driven models and analytical solutions for spoken language applications
- Develop and/or apply statistical modelling methods (e.g. deep neural networks), optimizations, and other ML techniques to different applications in spoken language engineering
Qualifications
- Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
- Experience with SQL and an RDBMS (e.g., Oracle) or Data Warehouse
