About the role

HR generalist role supporting Amazon International Stores in the EMEA region, acting as a trusted consultant to people managers and collaborating with HR stakeholders to standardize best practices across EMEA while ensuring compliance with country labour laws, works councils, and policy updates.

Responsibilities

  • Works council management.
  • Complex and sensitive employee issues, including disciplinary and grievance procedures.
  • Performance improvement processes, both informal and formal.
  • Guiding Leaders through the Talent Management and Annual Compensation planning processes.
  • Providing guidance to HR Business Partners and Business Leaders on change management initiatives.
  • Own policy and compliance at country level; input and lead projects aligned to annual goals and strategy.
  • Collaborate with works council representatives; prior works council experience is a plus.
  • Stay informed about legislative or Amazon-driven updates and modify policy documents accordingly.
  • Participate or lead subject matter expert groups focused on improving key HR processes across EMEA.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Significant Human Resources experience
  • Strong HR acumen, problem-solving, critical thinking and analysis
  • Strong knowledge of French Employment Law including works council management
  • Fluent in French (spoken and written) and highly proficient in English
  • Experience in a highly matrixed organization
  • Diplôme en ressources humaines ou dans un domaine lié
  • Excellente connaissance de l’anglais écrit et parlé
  • Expérience de travail au sein d'une organisation fortement matricielle
