About the role

Senior Vendor Manager responsible for managing a category portfolio and end-to-end vendor relationships to drive topline performance and profitability for Business Industrial and Scientific Supplies (BISS) within Amazon Business. Defines strategic direction, manages P&L, negotiates with vendors, and collaborates across functions to improve supplier and customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • CUSTOMER FOCUS: Evaluates products and services to drive customer experience; aggregates industry trends; identifies opportunities to differentiate customer experience.
  • STRATEGY: Develops long-term category and supplier growth strategies; uncovers portfolio gaps; provides recommendations on opportunities and long-term strategy for multiple sub-categories.
  • VENDOR MANAGEMENT: Expands vendor selection, negotiates with vendors, drives go-to-market programs, and builds long-term relationships to deliver growth.
  • BUSINESS OPERATIONS: Owns Retail P&L for multiple subcategories; develops revenue/margin plans; creates vendor marketing plans; audits subcategory performance; escalates issues; drives process improvements across systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of account management, project/program management, or buying experience
  • Experience driving cross-team collaboration
  • Experience using data to influence business decisions
  • Experience with business analysis and P&L management
