About the role

Senior leadership role responsible for budget, people development and operations objectives at the site level within a Fulfillment Center, including leading and coaching a team of Operations and Area Managers, ensuring safety, quality, performance and customer experience, and driving Lean initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Drives creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives and Lean initiatives to enable their functional area and meet/exceed business plan.
  • Responsible for overall safety, quality and performance and customer experience of either Inbound or Outbound operations.
  • Sets and clarifies requirements and expectations for Operations and Area Managers; measures performance, provides feedback, and holds managers accountable.
  • Leverages the Operations and Area Managers by sourcing and nurturing ideas and developing improvement plans for the functional area.
  • Ensures best practices are shared across departments, shifts, and network.
  • Collaborates with support staff (HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT and other Sr. Operations Managers) to secure resources for projects and initiatives and support staff initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Work a variety of hours as business demands, including overnight, weekends and holidays
  • 7+ years direct management experience, including a salaried workforce, in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment
  • Prior experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques
  • Prior experience with the full staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and termination
