About the role

SDE II on the Inventory Accounting team for Amazon Leo, building an end-to-end platform to track LEO hardware inventory and support 100+ country launches with scalable, distributed systems, knowledge base/AI foundations, and cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver a scalable, end-to-end platform supporting LEO commerce logistics operations across global markets.
  • Design and implement distributed orchestration systems that coordinate across dozens of domain-specific internal and external services, ensuring reliable end-to-end workflow execution at scale.
  • Establish the AI/ML foundation layer, including knowledge base architectures and intelligent automation frameworks, to accelerate developer productivity and reduce time-to-market for new country launches.
  • Tackle novel, ambiguous technical challenges at the intersection of artificial intelligence, large-scale distributed systems, and financial domain complexity, delivering production-grade solutions with high operational bar.
  • As a Software Development Engineer (SDE II), own the design, development, and cross-team collaboration of end-to-end e-commerce lifecycle systems, spanning requirements definition, implementation, financial configuration, test automation, and production validation.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
  • 2+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
