About the role

SDE role in Amazon’s Ordering team focused on large-scale distributed systems to enable customers to buy anywhere, anytime. Candidates should design scalable, end-to-end software solutions and contribute across the full software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable software solutions that simplify complex problems, balancing immediate needs with long-term architectural vision
  • Contribute to the full software development lifecycle including scoping, design, code, testing, deployment, and maintenance of critical systems
  • Participate actively in code reviews, providing meaningful technical feedback to team members and ensuring high-quality, maintainable code
  • Drive operational excellence by identifying root causes of issues and implementing permanent solutions that improve team processes and software quality
  • Collaborate with customers, stakeholders, and peers to understand business requirements and deliver solutions that balance customer needs with technical constraints

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent (preferred)
